The Dutch weather offers a great variety: we actually do have hot summers and ice cold winters. Thats why the owners of Ijscuypje thought: we can't sell ice the whole year. During wintertime the Dutch stay away from ice cream because they eat a lot of stew, typical Dutch stews are: stamppot (with carrots and onions) or Boerenkool met worst (kale with sausage). Because this love for stew madness Ijscupyje transforms every fall to Stamppotje: a take away stew shop. And that's a great success!
Besides this useful transformation it's worth noting that the ice cream from Ijscuypje is really really really good. You immediately taste the homemade freshness and you can choose from a lot of different and original flavors. Backpackers favorite is the Grandma's Apple-pie which tastes just like they pulled a freshly baked apple pie trough an iced blender.
So for an ice cream you must go to Ijscuypje this summer.
One of the best Ice vendors in town!
Well...if you're into ice cream in december it can be quite a disappointment.
