The first thing that catches your attention about the Roemer hotel is the location - as far as spending time in Amsterdam goes, it just doesn't get better: Vondelpark on one side, Leidseplein (quite correctly referred to as "the entertainment area" of Amsterdam) on the other. But the list of good things does not end here: the rooms - in three price categories - are spacious and elegant in a minimalistic way. You have all the things you need, but you do not feel cramped by the surrounding appliances. If you happen to be get there in the spring or summer, the lovely wood-decorated gardens allows you to enjoy the laid-back atmosphere that Amsterdam is so famous for. Excellent lounge area, friendly service and really good menu complement the picture. Highly recommended.
