Is it Wat Po? The big Buddha with all the little men. Or is it Biking in Bangkok? No? Maybe SF Bowlen on the 7th floor in MBK Center, 210 snow white bowling lanes or still the biggest tourist attraction The Grand Palace? Otherwise a bit further away, The River Kwai in Kanchanaburi? Or Horse racing?

Siam Shopping Guide A Marathon Shopping Day!

Khao San Road  The legendary backpacker’s domain

Wat Area (Rambuttri)  Khao San & the Wat Area

The Strip Area (Th Phra Athit) Real Thai around the corner from Khao San

CENTRAL WORLD PLAZA
Central World Plaza is rebuild and absolute a Must-go-to. You wouldn't want to miss the TopShop store, Zense (on the 18th floor the hippest spot in town with a view to kill), ZEN is the best warehouse in the world and many more too stylish, too fabulous shops. A grand mix between international and Thai brands, and of course a lot of sensational food-shops. click here for the shopping directory.

The Bo Bao Market is a real Thai wholesale market. The quality of the clothes is not what we are used to; some things can be shapeless and colorless after one wash. But it’s cheap! A lot of stuff you find on the Khao San Road evening market is here for sale at wholesale prices. Sometimes you need to buy more than one, but hey, that’s a nice gift for your friends at home. They have a wide selection of all kind of clothes; real backpacker items, children’s clothes, shorts along with hip shirts and skirts.

But remember: YOU ARE ALWAYS TOO FAT. Well, most of the time. No offense intended – the prevalence of the XXXXS Thai size can make shopping a challenge. That said, it is still a great place to check out.
Transport: San Sap Canal Boat

TIP: The temptation to be excessive in Bangkok is strong. So keep a check on your self and your wallet. Despite your best efforts, you will be tempted to think after a whole day and night of shopping to wonder where that girl got that shirt. Relax in the knowledge that she will be thinking the same thing when she sees you in your fabulous outfit!
